Voting for urban improvement projects has begun: How Russians are changing their cities.

From April 21 to June 12, Russians once again have the opportunity to choose the appearance of their street, district, or city.

The 6th All-Russian Vote for Urban Improvement Projects has begun. This year, residents can choose from over 6,000 projects in 1,667 municipalities.

Voting will continue until June 12 on the platform: zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru

Any Russian citizen over 14 years of age can participate.

Residents choose which parks, squares, embankments, and courtyards will be improved under the "Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment" program of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

Every year, the number of participants grows. People see how their decisions influence the appearance of their cities.

In 2025, more than 16.6 million people from 1,700 municipalities voted. Since the "Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment" program was launched, 80,578 areas in Russia have been transformed: 37,437 public spaces and 43,141 courtyards.

"The all-Russian online voting for improvement projects can rightfully be considered a unique national tool, uniting federal development institutions, municipal teams, volunteers, and residents."

Over the five years of its implementation, we have seen a steady and continuous increase in citizen participation in urban transformation. While 9.7 million votes were collected at the project's launch in 2021, 16.6 million votes were recorded in 2025.

This trend clearly demonstrates the growing interest of Russians in urban improvement programs and their desire to make a personal contribution to the development of their region, city, or town.

This year, 88 regions and the city of Baikonur will join the All-Russian vote. It is worth noting that in 2025, residents of historical regions cast approximately 131,000 votes for urban improvement projects," said Irek Faizullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.

This year, the All-Russian vote will take place not only in municipalities with populations over 20,000, but also in municipalities where key population centers are located.

Their development is a priority of the Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation for 2030–2036, as well as the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

Every year, volunteers assist Russians during the voting period. They consult with residents at information points, in public places, and at events, explaining the program's goals and the facilities on display.

"The project's volunteer corps has grown exponentially over the past six years. While just over 11,000 volunteers participated in 2021, today it has hundreds of thousands of people across the country.

This growth reflects the coordinated work of regional headquarters, the Dobro.rf team, and the high demand for participation.

The project gives everyone the opportunity to get involved, see results, and personally influence the future of their city.

According to the goals of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," at least 30,000 public spaces will be improved across the country by 2030.

The main goal of the national project is to improve the quality of life of Russians by creating a comfortable and safe living environment.

Particular attention is paid to the improvement of public spaces and the development of mechanisms for the integrated development of territories.
