TALENT PARADE

22 June 2022
790

The final concert of the XXXXV Festival of Music for Accordion and Accordion: The parade of St. Petersburg ensembles demonstrated the highest level of musical art. The concert was started by the youngest. Ensemble of students Of the St. Petersburg Music School named after M. P. Mussorgsky, he played Boris Tchaikovsky's polka airily and gently, as if fluttering, with sincere enthusiasm. They are already real pros! The ensemble of students of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory is magnificent: they are real virtuosos! The "Balkan dance" performed by them especially charmed the auditorium. Ensemble of soloists The St. Andrew's Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Fonin delighted with the brilliant, heartfelt improvisations of the Ural composer Andrey Byzov on the themes of the Russian folk song "Separation, separation ...". The duet "St. Petersburg" managed to convey the Spanish spirit in the "Spanish Fantasy", and even the sound of castanets could be heard in their domras. I was pleased with the trio "Resonance" and singer Ekaterina Agafonova with the song "Once" – of course, about love, or rather, about the hope of love. And what else is there to sing about when you're young? Note: youth has not retreated from any of the senior participants of the spring talent parade. It is impossible to list all of them in a brief review of a wonderful musical event.

To the Artistic director of the festival, Honored Artist of Russia Viktor Dukaltetenko has just turned 70. So what! Time has no power over talent, forever young, experience and wisdom do not interfere with it. Our musical talents are people who are searching, trembling, inspired. Always welcome for us, grateful listeners. The concert was completed by an orchestra of all participants of instrumental ensembles performing variations on the theme of the Russian folk song "The Moon is Shining ..." by Vasily Andreev, to the applause of the admiring audience.
