A city of out-of-place people

On June 03, 2026, in the Galaktika House of Culture, as part of the Live Stage project, the play "The City of Superfluous People" based on the works of Mikhail Bulgakov staged by the Experimental Story Theater took place. The performance offers the audience an unusual reading of familiar plots. The creative team managed to convey the unique atmosphere of Bulgakov's prose: the fine line between reality and phantasmagoria, the sharpness of social observations and the depth of human emotions. The emphasis was on the power of words and the actor's presence. The minimalistic stage design allowed the audience to focus on the text and the emotional performance of the performers.
