Festival of amateur folk art "Kalinin Cascade"
The festival has been held for over twenty-five years. It was first held in 1996 on the initiative of Mikhail Romanovich Rankov, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. Since then, it has firmly established itself as one
one of the brightest, most impressive events in the cultural life of the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg.
In 2022, the festival dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia became open for the first time and creative teams from all 18 districts of St. Petersburg; Leningrad region: Tosnensky, Podporozhsky, Vsevolozhsky, Kirovsky districts, the cities of Luga and Vyborg.
870 creative performances - 3975 participants from institutions of culture, education, youth and social policy presented their creativity in the areas of choreographic, theater and vocal art.
Within the framework of the festival, 7 competitive reviews were held in the following genres of performing arts: folk, classical, pop and modern dance; musical, plastic, dramatic theatrical performances and artistic expression; folk, academic and pop singing.
The jury included authoritative figures of culture and art of St. Petersburg, including:
- Natalya Mukhina, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, board member of the International Union of Choreographers;
- choreographer, teacher of the Academy of Russian Ballet. AND I. Vaganova Tamara Anisimova;
- singer, Honored Artist of Russia Ivan Besedin;
- singer and actress, Honored Artist of Russia Elena Ternovaya,
- singer, Honored Artist of Russia Galina Sidorenko,
- singer and teacher, laureate of international competitions and festivals Tatyana Menchikova;
- actress and director, theater teacher, head of the theatrical and circus art department of the House of Folk Art Lyudmila Boevchuk;
- Galina Dmitrenko, director of Radio Russia - St. Petersburg, senior lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture;
- singer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor of the Pop and Jazz Performance Department of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture Natalya Uleyskaya;
- Teacher of the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory Sofia Timusk;
- Music producer, singer, composer, soloist of the musical group "Discomafia", winner of the television music festival "Song of the Year", laureate of the national music award "Golden Gramophone", general producer of "GUSEFF MUSIC" promotion Anton Gusev

Regional festival of amateur folk art "Kalinin cascade"
In 2021, it was dedicated to a significant date - the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Kalininsky District. More than 2,000 participants presented their works in all areas of amateur creativity: choreographic, vocal, theatrical, fine and arts and crafts.
A competent jury, which included authoritative figures of culture and art, determined the winners in various nominations and categories. The best performers and creative teams were awarded Grand Prix diplomas!

Regional festival of amateur folk art "Kalinin cascade"
Over the twenty-four years of its existence, the festival has become one of the brightest and most significant events in the cultural life of the Kalinin region. This year it was dedicated to the anniversary date - the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
In 2020, the Kalininsky Cascade brought together a record number of talents under its wing - more than 2,000 people of different ages, from 7 years old and older, represented all genres and areas of amateur creativity: choreographic, vocal, theatrical, fine arts and arts and crafts.
Separately, I would like to note the skill and talent of the participants. According to the decision of the competent jury, the best performers and creative teams in each direction were awarded diplomas of the festival's grand prix.
